Private reference, not a records office. Valley Stream Residents Directory cannot retrieve, certify, change, or remove a government record, and cannot confirm who lives at an address. Take those requests to the custodian. For an emergency call 911; for stalking or harassment, contact local law enforcement.
Choose the Right Records Contact
Use the appropriate official office for the record itself. The links below identify the documented route, while the directory sections explain what each source can and cannot establish.
- Address, parcel, or owner record: start with Streets and the Nassau assessment or Clerk record named there.
- Historical directory, newspaper, or family-history question: use City Directory and contact Waldinger or VSHS for the cited material.
- One dated name or court/vital-record question: use the Resident Lookup route and ask the identified custodian.
- Agency-held record not online: make a focused request under New York Freedom of Information Law, Public Officers Law art. 6, ยงยง84-90; FOIL does not require an agency to create a custom resident list.
